Baking trays

Location: International Space Station
Date: 2019
Designer: Zero G Kitchen
Baking trays to be used with the Zero G Kitchen Space Oven––a cylindrical-shaped insulated container designed to hold and bake food samples in the microgravity environment of the International Space Station.

In space, baked goods are held in clear Silicone pouches with filters to allow steam and hot air to escape, but also prevent crumbs from escaping and potentially causing damage to the station. The trays are made with an aluminum frame for structure and storage in the oven rack.
